Last Friday after saying goodbye to my sister, I was feeling really home sick. But I pretty much got over that by the end of Friday evening. All thanks to my amazing friends here in Seoul ^^
On the train ride home from the airport, I couldn’t stop thinking about how much I missed home and how things can be so different here in Korea. For a moment, I seriously considered going home after my contract ends.
I’m just really glad that I had made plans with KM & SJ, so even though I was really sad and kind of just wanted to stay home and sulk, I got my ass out of my house. We went to see a movie, 내 아내의 모든 것 (All About My Wife).

There was no English subs, but it’s a comedy, so it was still really funny even though I couldn’t understand a lot of it. SJ & KM would lean over from time to time to tell me some of the jokes and funny parts. I felt really bad, because I know when I’m watching a movie, I get really annoyed when people talk, whisper, or when their phone rings. So I’m sure it pissed off some Koreans, especially when it’s English they hear XD
I’m really glad my friends got me out of the house. After hanging out with them, that home sick feeling just disappeared. I realized my life is here now. Yeah, things aren’t the same as back home, but I like it the way they are here. Sure, there are times when I get kind of frustrated and annoyed with things in Korea. But in general, I like Korea, I like the place, I like the food, I like the lifestyle here, and most of all I’ve made great friends here too.

I woke up this morning and headed to the hospital to get another health check, required by my school. Luckily I went with my CT, because they had this 3 page long sheet to fill out, just questions regarding your habit and health. But there would be no way I would be able to fill it out without help >.<
Great way to start the long wknd. There was a lot of students getting their health check as well, so I thought the wait time would be super long. But for some weird reason, they kept bumping us to the front of the line. I asked my CT if that was allowed, and wouldn’t the others get angry? Because I’d be fucking pissed if I was waiting for over 30 minutes in each section (xray/blood/eyesight/hearing/etc.) and seeing people who just got there go first. Her response “They’re students, they just have to accept it.” LOL!!
One thing I’ve noticed, from going to the doctors and hospital, patient privacy is not a priority here in Korea… not that I have anything to hide, but it just feels weird when some ahjuma is watching me get my teeth checked, or listening to the doctor and me talking and summarizing my health check.
Anyways, right before I went home, I stopped by the Innisfree near my area. I was really happy to see they had all the different kinds of mask… BUT the 10+10 deal was over =( Last week, they had a buy 10 get 10 free mask deal going on. I went to a few Innisfree but all they had left was the ones I didn’t really want left. (ie. pine, mugwort, bamboo)… The masks are quite cheap normally, they’re only ₩1000 for 1, but it would have been great if they still had the 10+10 deal going on!!
I’m going to spend my saturday afternoon finishing up this drama <3 I only have 2 more episodes left, and episode 18 left off at a really OMG moment!!!
“We will always love and…
Respect each other…
Until the day our lives end…
We will stay together forever…
I promise.”

Damn he’s hot!
It feels like just yesterday that I went to the airport to pick up my sister… but today, I’m already going back to Incheon and saying goodbye to her =( When she told me she was coming for a month, I really thought it was a long time, but time flew by so fast!!!
Like most sibling relationships, we had our ups and downs. But, I’m really going to miss her! It feels so weird coming back home to an empty house =’( =’( =’( I love it here in Korea, but when I was going to the airport there was a little part of me that wish I was going home too… I don’t miss Edmonton all that much, but I miss the people there =( =(
On the train ride home, I suddenly started to feel really home sick…..
